Guest guest
Keelan -- It is legit.you do your classroom portion online and then find an instructor to do the practical test with who gives you the card. In my experience, both sections run about $ 25 or so each. I hope this helps. C Online CPR Cert. Greetings all, I was wondering if anyone is familiar with the many online CPR Certification sites. Guest guest
Most of them are not legiitimate. The only legitimate ones (and the only ones with wide acceptance by EMS licensing folks) are those that are (1) affiliated with a recognized CPR training agency, and (2) require hands on skills. AFAIK, the recognized CPR providers are: American Heart Association American Safety and Health Institute Red Cross National Safety Council Emergency Care and Safety Institute Medic First Aid Many have their own in-house on-line sites for training. Some use third-parties. For example, ASHI uses Emergency University.com. EU will give you a completion cert, but you have to go to an ASHI Training Center and do skills and they give you the card. Same with AHA and NSC that I know of, and others too. Bottom line, if they say you can get a CPR card without hands on skills, it's not legit, I don't care WHAT they say. =Steve , LP= AHA, NSC, ASHI Instructor Trainer keelanc wrote: > Greetings all, > > I was wondering if anyone is familiar with the many online CPR Certification sites. Guest guest
I thought it sounded a bit far fetched when I heard about it. and my curiosity got the best of me so I set out to find what I could. I will admit though I was wondering how I would do the compressions on my monitor screen. Re: Online CPR Cert. Most of them are not legiitimate.
