Hey - hugs from Nebraska.

I was/am in the same spot you are- I tried any and everything to break the

constipation habit - and - ended up at my internist- with horrible horrible pain

from taking Mag Citrate (which incidentally I had taken once before after

surgery without trouble). After a lecture on the use/abuse of laxatives - and

yup that would be me - he said I could take vitamin laxative meds and/or

citrucel, benefiber,etc...something that is natural and fiber. He put me on

Aciphex for the pain in my belly and came within a few hours of ending up in the

hospital - fortunately I could still get water in - enough to keep my from

getting dehydrated. SOOO - I take Senekot - you can take up to 4 twice a day -

it takes a little while to get your body to decide how much and how many but -

it won't hurt you or your pouch... Meanwhile - we are hoping that I didn't do

any permanent burning/scarring to my pouch - I was off the Aciphex a week and

ended up back on it - with an appointment with the local gastroenterologist

coming up - - Please please don't take Mag Citrate - the pain is so not worth

it - AND - sadly - it didn't even help - sighs - keep drinking - and drinking -

and drinking - and - hang in there... hugs from deb

Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our

breath away...
