Guest guest
When my AFib starts it is accompanied by excess urination. My bladder will be completely full every fifteen minutes for an hour or more, with a corresponding increase in thirst. The urine will be a normal color the first time but then will be very clear and colorless thereafter. Sometimes the urination will start just before the AFib does. I have never peed as much in my life as occurs at the start of AFib. Does any one else have these symptoms and any idea what is going on? Guest guest
I believe you pee a lot because during AF, enzymes are freed by the body to try and help the efficiency of the heart. Think of it like water tablets working. If I have to get up and pee several times during the night, I know I have been having AF whilst asleep. It is a good guide. Guest guest
I definitely get the " Big P " but I also get freezing cold as well. If I'm in afib before bed time, I know I need to get out the down comforter and turn up the heat. I'm not sure whether it's a cold cold, or more a nervous cold. _____ From: AFIBsupport [mailto:AFIBsupport ] On Behalf Of susan andrews Sent: Saturday, April 15, 2006 7:15 AM To: AFIBsupport Subject: Re: Does any one else have these symptoms? Guest guest
A few years ago I was in charge of our high school reunion. We had it in LA in a big hotel, and by the end of the evening with all the stress and excitement etc...I was feeling crazed, especially when dancing with my former teacher because I *knew* my chest was funny. It didn't hurt but I told him I absolutely had to sit down. I did not have afib at this time, yet, but who knows? When everyone finally went to their own rooms at 3 AM and I tried to unwind and go to sleep...I got the chills like you wouldn't believe. My teeth were chattering and I was shaking - I was a mess. I probably shared this here before. I made hot water in the coffee pot and took a valium and bundled under all the quilts and after about 45 minutes I was able to unwind and even sleep some. I would bet a lot of $$ that I was in afib that night and converted out. Lil In a message dated 4/17/2006 8:47:10 A.M. I ask my doctor one time why I did that and he said it was because my blood is pooling in my heart, and it's not being pumped correctly through my body. Make sense to me.
