Mike,

Alfonso is correct, I reviewed the application and it is a little

misleading I will see if we can't correct it. Anytime you have a question

concerning a

rule or the application process you can always contact your state EMS

regional representatives, the Austin office or e-mail me

directly(_maxie.bishop@..._ (mailto:maxie.bishop@...)

).

If you meet the following requirements simply complete the application

submit the fees and a copy of your degree. Once this information is verified

your

licensure will be issued.

(a) Requirements for paramedic licensure.

<NO>(1) A currently certified paramedic may apply for a paramedic license if

the candidate has at least one of the following degrees from an institution

of post secondary education which has been accredited by an agency recognized

by the U.S. Department of Education as an approved accrediting authorit

<NO>(A) an associate degree in emergency medical services (EMS

<NO>(B) a baccalaureate degree;

Mike,

I went through the same process back in February when I applied for

initial licensure. I was an EMT-P since 2003 but had let my NR lapse.

All that is required is your pertinent personal information and a

copy of your degree or transcript. Leave the NR field blank. I

didn't have any problems.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Cheers.
