Guest guest
The goals and objectives are designed to be achievable within one year. Every quarter (anytime other students receive progress reports), you should get a formal update on progress of goals and objectives. Every year, a formal IEP should be held and new goals should be developed. If your son is not achieving the goals year to year they should be making adjustments to his program and perhaps his goals. Therapy is not a goal, rather a means of teaching necessary skills to achieve goals. I would be concerned if they continue with the same goals over time. Attached is a goal bank with objectives. I don't know were your sons skills are or what his diagnoses is however, this might find this bank helpful. Let me know if you need additional information for a specific goal area and I can see what I can get you. Each new goal is presented after Goals and Objectives Index.
