Guest guest
I'll mark this for --she has the best explanation of a vascular ring! Reactive Airway Disease is similar to asthma. Anytime the airway contracts a bug (or some other irritant) it " reacts " by becoming inflamed and constricting, making breathing difficult. The main two groups of meds to treat either 1) dilate the airway passages (bronchioles), like albuterol or ipratroprium (don't think it's spelled right), or 2) medications to reduce the inflammation--mostly steroids like pulmacort or flow-vent. In terms of venting the g-tube, when in doubt vent the tube. Evan suffered 2 months of nightly bouts of " colic " until another parent asked if we had ever vented his g-tube. When we were taught the care, the importance or frequency of venting was not emphasized enough. Venting the tube isn't going to hurt anything. I highly encourage your daughter to become very familiar with the process of venting, with what to do if the tube comes out, and the appearance of the stoma. At the times when knowing these things is critical, you want to be able to do them quickly! (mom to Evan, 18 months--possibly a little too familiar with Evan's g-tube as I can tell he needs vented just by putting my ear on his tummy) ritaskeoch wrote: can any one tell me what vascular ring obstrction is and rad reactive aiway desiese is please ,and are you still supposed to vent when you have a button kellie is but she is not sure when to do it is it just when caitlyn gags rita kellie and caitlyn 1 year old charge --------------------------------- Be a PS3 game guru.
