Guest guest
, You bet...laugh it up...because it too was a joke...I seriously doubt if anyone was harmed by it...but they could have been because humor was had at the expense of others...so someone's feelings could have been hurt, someone could have a PTSD flashback of an aircraft accident they were in or that they worked...and have to take time off work to recover...so we have to be careful... It is a sad day in our society when we can no longer laugh... Dudley Re: NEWS FLASH!! Can I laugh at this one? I hope so, because its dang sure funny. Guest guest
I'm contacting my attorney. I am offended since I attended said institution and fail to find the humor in yet another attempt to poke fun of my fellow Aggies. I am deeply distraught and may not be able to report to work in the morning. Not to mention the fact that the all volunteer t.u. res-que sqwad from Austin is now probably speeding towards College Station to assist in the recovery effort. What if someone gets hurt? Don't you people ever quit? --------------------------------- Sponsored Link Try Netflix today! With plans starting at only $5.99 a month what are you waiting for? Guest guest
Ooopps!!! Not only did I reply to the group instead of using a web post but I forgot to sign. Does that mean I can't play anymore? Wait, I retract my assertation that I was highly distraught. I might have offended somebody on the list and in doing so given cause for legal action. Please, I'm just some EMS guy, don't have much $$$ and can't afford some fancy t.u. lawyer type. Maybe one from Tech but not t.u. > > WAIT A MINUTE!!!!!! I don't see this as funny at all!!!!! Guest guest
Wes - I've never had a chance to ask, and I don't think most people on the list know that you even have this, but where is your MPA from? My dad got his MPA and it's done him well... With you having one, would you recommend the MPA for someone considering a management career in EMS? Why/why not? I know that M*B*A's are the rage nowdays, but it seems like the MPA could be a valuable education to have, especially with a focus on municipal politics and administration. What do you think (and anyone else with an MPA, or a BS in Poli-Sci, etc.)? Guest guest
Mike (and everyone else): Thanks for giving me another chance to toot my own horn. We all know how lawyers LOVE to talk. :-) I got my MPA from Texas State University - San Marcos back when it was Southwest Texas State University. I would definitely recommend both the MPA degree and Texas State University. The MPA gives you a great foundation for managing a public organization, from budgeting to HR issues. Texas State's classes are usually night classes that meet for three hours one day a week. Even if you're in the private sector, the knowledge of government coupled with the management training makes the MPA a great asset. Seriously, if I can ever answer any questions about the MPA degree or Texas State's program in particular, I'm glad to talk to anyone. -Wes Ogilvie, MPA, JD, EMT-B Austin, Texas In a message dated 11/7/2006 5:24:02 PM Central Standard Time, paramedicop@... writes: Wes - I've never had a chance to ask, and I don't think most people on the list know that you even have this, but where is your MPA from?
