Guest guest
Hello Ellen, I'm sure that TIm will jump in here with excellent references to articles, but in the meantime, here is one reference you can check: http://www3.interscience.wiley.com/cgi-bin/abstract/109884309/ABSTRACT It is an abstract describing treatment approaches for a child with CHARGE who is said to have an anxiety disorder and makes reference to the positive things that have helped. The article is from the 2005 journal that looked solely at behavior in CHARGE. There are other articles in the same special CHARGE Americal Journal of Clinica Genetics issue which refer to anxiety. Googling CHARGE and anxiety on Google Scholar or Pubmed will draw up many references. I agree with what has been said so far that the school has a definite responsibility here whether this is seen as a special education issue or a regular education issue. What is important is addressing the difficult issues that is faced with by the attitudes expressed by the other students. It is important to understand the anxiety issue and to know what options are available to help ameliorate the condition. Best to you and . Mom to Kendra, and Camille Anxiety and Children with CHARGE Hi Everyone, I am looking for an article or paper written about Anxiety and children with CHARGE. is being teased by students in his class and our director of Special Ed does not feel that 's fear of going to school, going out because he might run into them and asking to move has a negative impact on his education. She feels this is a regular Ed problem not disability related and the school counselor is using this book about 5 incredible steps. They are sure will be fine when using these steps. The director feels I am exaggerating 's meltdowns. holds it together until he gets home because the kids tease him if he cries. So if anyone has any articles they can direct me to it would be greatly appreciated Thanks Ellen mom to
