Guest guest
Well Stated Gene, thank you for seeing both sides. Re: National Registery Results Hints for talking to NR: 1. When you call, identify yourself and then ask the person you're speaking to to identify himself or herself, first and last name. If they refuse, note that. Also note the date and exact time of your call. If they are rude or not helpful to you, or refuse to identify themselves, immediately post that on here and copy Maxie Bishop. 2. It is not illegal to record calls that you're a party to in Texas. If your phone has a recording feature, record the call. You do not have to tell them that you're recording. In the alternative, have someone listen in on speaker phone. It's always good to have witnesses. 3. Be polite at all times, but be assertive. If you don't get satisfaction from them, ask to speak to Phil Dickison, Rob Wagoner, or Gregg Margolis. If they refuse to let you speak to them, post that here, and then follow up by email to those individuals and to Bill Brown. 4. We are their customers. We pay them for their services. Without us they would be nothing. They have the power to be rude, but they do not have the privilege of doing so without repercussions. We do not have to accept bad service and bad behavior from them. 5. Take notes during the call and immediately reduce them to a written memorandum. 6. If they ARE helpful and friendly, then please post that also. When they're good, they deserve to be recognized for being good, although good is what they should be to begin with. There is no excuse for bad service. Don't allow it. Texas EMS should not allow it, and I believe that DSHS will respond appropriately to documented instances of bad service, if they know about them.
