My morning bg has been averaging 143 . It seems to me that one of the

charts I read puts this at 6 something for A1C1 should this be my 3 month

avg. so shouldnt this be a good number for bf am?

Well, if your morning bg is 143 that seems to make one think that your day time

bg is probably even higher, hard to say though without checking. My 14 day

average right now is 156 and I test 6+ times a day. My morning bg are never

about 110 & I'm insulin pump dependant. Hope that helps.

Sharon, that's really very misleading. Your morning sugar could be

averaging 143, but that doens't mean your sugar all day long is 143. *IF*

your sugar all day long every day was 143, your A1C would be about 6 (don't

have the chart in front of me).

You need to remember that 143 could be your highest reading of the day... if

so, your A1C could be under 6. Likewise, if 143 is the *LOWEST* you have

all day, every day, your A1C may be much higher than 6.

Your A1C is *NOT* a number on a chart based upon readings, it's an actual

blood test result... so it's not really tied to average morning, fasting,

before lunch or any other specific reading of the day.

Hope that helps.
