I know the passenger as an acquaintance and am worried about him - I would like to find out his status. I would appreciate finding out about the status of the passenger, as I may travel to San if he needs someone by his side, but don't want to make the trip if he's treated and released, or if he's deceased. If someone knows, and could let me know, I'd appreciate it. 's family does not know his status... I'm sure that Fayette County will release more information soon on this tragedy, and I'd like to express my condolences to those who worked with her or knew her. was a good friend, talented paramedic, and incredible photographer who found joy in other people's lives. If you work in the Medina County/Hondo area, or worked this accident, would you mind giving me a call so I can find out about Carl, and his needs right now? I'm specifically NOT asking for medical information (HIPAA violation, etc.) - just that information that may be public knowledge or visible to someone on the scene.... essentially, a go/no-go decision for heading to San . Guest guest
Mike; The accident happened on hwy 90 about 2 miles east of Hondo. Ms Otto's vehicle was traveling eastbound and a car traveling westbound in the eastbound lane struck her vehicle. I pulled up on scene after the passenger was flown so I can not shed mush light. I will find out what I can and get back with you as soon as possiable. Guest guest
As the transporting service I would like to extend the family and friends of Michele our deepest sympathies. It may comfort you to know that it was instantaneous and she did not suffer at all. As for her passenger, for Hippa reason I can not disclose anything except that he was transported in critical condition to University Hospital by Airlife and is currently in serious but stable condition in ICU. Guest guest
I did not know Otto as so many of you did, but I would like to add my deepest sympathies to her family and friends, not the least of which are the members of the Texas EMS community, but too members of a profession that crosses all borders and has lost a sister. We have truly lost " one of our own " , regardless of where we reside. My prayers are with her family as well as the passenger and his family, and all whose lives were touched by her presence.
