Guest guest
While it may be a little off-topic here, I thought I would mention that it snowed here in our part of Southern California yesterday. It is quite a rare occurance. But to bring it back to topic, at least a little bit, Kendra loves snow! Wish we had enough to make a snow man or snow woman. That would make her day. :-)
Guest guest
You're in So. Cal and had snow; I'm in Eastern Canada and there's nary a flake and it was 9 degrees Celsius yesterday. What's wrong with THAT picture? (Scary stuff)... > > While it may be a little off-topic here, I thought I would mention that > it snowed here in our part of Southern California yesterday. Guest guest
Yeah, you are the second Canadian I have heard from on this issue! I don't know, but it wouldn't be unlike me to say: Al's RIGHT. Re: a little OT Snow! You're in So. Guest guest
22 ferhenite, they use the silly Standard (imperial) scale. We (british and ex british commonweath countries) use Metric. So it was below 0 in our scale. Though I would like 22C right now Chantelle > > ive heard was 22 degrees in nyc the other day very hot for middle of > winter > > > > > > And I am up here in Nor Cal in the mountains and haven't had a lick of > > snow... Guest guest
Casey, I wish it was snow here in the middle of Missouri but instead we have ice and sleet. My house is surrounded by a smooth layer of sleet topped by freezing rain. I have a strip along the front of my house of bare ground about a foot wide. That is the only place I can take my 10 year old golden outside to do her thing. Since the forecast is for below freezing temps for this week (maybe in the single digits), I think I may be housebound for several days. Haven't talked to Meg but reports are that the St. Louis area has been hit with power outages again. This is the 3rd time in the last 8 months. Guest guest
You know, up here in the Northeast, there is legend that talks of the white fluffy stuff that falls from the sky. I hear tell that it can stop traffic, can be formed into people, and must be removed with a shovel. Of course, those are stories of yesteryear and I do have memories from childhood (and recent adulthood) of cavorting in this stuff myself. Of course, those are legends now--BECAUSE WE HAVE NOT HAD ANYTHING RESEMBLING SNOW!!!! And you live in California--you aren't supposed to have snow, we are!!! I am happy for Kendra (and what is now probably a memory of snow for her, too!) and jealous, too! Kendra, you are a lucky girl. pam a little OT Snow! Guest guest
Pam, We just got our first snow for the year. We had plenty of ice and sleet before the snow started to fall. I woke up this morning to 5 inches on the ground and it is still falling. I'm wishing it out your way just for you! When Jess was put in the hospital last week, it was all I could do to not be on a plane. I guess it was a good thing that I stayed home as I would have been delayed somewhere by this storm. Hope the snow makes it out to you soon! Sheryl
Guest guest
Sheryl- You can't mention hospital without getting our interest. I assume things are fine now, but what happened?? It must have been horrible for you to be far from her under such circumstances! I'm glad you found the strength the let go and let things be handled by the folks in Boston. I trust that it all worked out ok. Guest guest
Oh, Sheryl, I was thinking of you and wondering if I would see you!! Jess has been happy as a clam since returning‹she probably missed you as much as you missed her during this time, too. But, now we know we can all get through it (and hopefully won¹t have to do it again!). pam > > > > > Pam, > > We just got our first snow for the year.
