Guest guest
It is with deep regret that I post this message. Some of you may not know R. Shockley from the Medic Alert Foundation but many of you know his work as he was a principle developer of much of the training materials that medic Alert has delivered to fire, police and EMS providers all of the world related to Medic Alert and other EMS related educational needs. was murdered on Monday in West Virginal the details of which are hazy but can be found here in this news story in the local newspaper. _http://www.wvgazette.com/section/News/2006100436_ (http://www.wvgazette.com/section/News/2006100436) I spent some time with just last week while in Las Vegas at EMS Expo which is where I first met him in 2003. He became a friend and in fact had me interview for a position with Medic Alert in 2005 which I later declined for personal reasons. He and I corresponded regularly and he often sent me drafts of his in the works educational materials for my comments. He treated me to a very nice dinners while I was in CA for that interview and we saw each other often at trade shows. Like most EMS folks he was an overall nice guy and a good friend. His loss will take yet another piece of the EMS Family from this earth, Rest in peace . Louis N. Molino, Sr. CET FF/NR-EMT-B.FSI/EMSI _LNMolino@..._ (mailto:LNMolino@...)
