Re: Re: nursie & doc types

Dear Mom,

::Big Hugs::

Sorry to read about your Dad/nitro/problems. Sounds like your idea to

have a home health care nurse check on him/medicate him is a great idea.

Does he live out of state/far away from you...?

Love,

Trace

Dear ,

Sometimes having a home health care nurse (a professional) come in to

bathe, feed, medicate is the very best solution to a very difficult situation.

It gives your Dad privacy (it is not his daughter bathing, cleaning

him, etc.), and the home health care nurse is trained in proper lifting

techniques, etc., and does this type of work for a living.

This way, you can be just " the daughter " and not the taskmaster, you

know what I mean...? I know the $$ situation is another matter entirely but

I'm praying that God will give you and Don wisdom on how to best handle all

of that.

We learned recently that Corb's Dad (72 years old) has been diagnosed

with leukemia. This coming off the tails of his Mom's three month hospital

stay with colitis and a wicked-bad C.diff infection. Six months ago they

discovered the leukemia in a routine physical/blood work up but just recently

has cancer " advanced " enough for him to be on oral chemotherapy for the next

year.

I would appreciate your prayers for him as I pray for your Dad.

I made the call. His heart is not doing well, so that's gonna be my excuse. He

could have a nitro patch, but it's a twice a day thing, so I can't take chances

with iffy.

Lotsa tests & appts coming up, but yep, we have to move toward caregiving. Now,

waiting for a return call

Good, .... The first step. It should start to get

less complicated now that you've taken some action.

Thinking of you.
