Guest guest
I am not much of one to contemplate the inevitable, and we have had more than one thread on here about the value and place of Basic EMT’s, but when I came here from North Carolina some moons ago, I went to work for a rural 911 service where I became fortunate to meet and work with an elderly (he was already 70+ and that was 10 years ago) EMT named Sam Greer. He was probably one of the most knowledgeable EMT’s I ever met, with a heart of gold and compassion that was never ending. He could lift any patient that came along, and could outrun and outlast guys and gals that were literally ¼ of his age. Never a shift went by that his infectious smile didn’t warm your heart….just a little… but usually a lot. He will be remembered like I WANT to be remembered, for his devotion, his smile, his kind heartedness and his compassion. I say all that to pass on this: What an incredible personal and professional loss. If you never met him, you were short changed…… Mike FUNERAL NOTICE Sam Greer It is with great sadness that we announce that Sam Greer finally retired on July 19, 2006 in Corpus Christi, TX. Guest guest
We send our condolences to Sam Greer's family, friends and co-workers. EMT's are a rare breed (at any level) and rarer are those who give of themselves when they should be fishing. ,_._,___ Danny L. Owner/NREMT-P PETSAR INC.
