Guest guest
Hi I was on this meds for about five years. I was very lucky as I had no problems with my INR but at that time I was around 45-50 years of age. I did however get terrible pains in my chest and terrible tummy troubles. I have other problems as well no related to AF. I was trawling through Google one day and there are a lot of side effects with this med. Tummy gastric, problems with this med to be honest so many I stopped looking in the end. On stopping this meds the pains in my chest stopped and the tummy problems eased. I do not think this was all of my problems that can be attributed to this one drug but lots of little problems with all the meds I was on at that time added up to make me feel pretty grim. What we must consider is that we have a major problems with a major organ and we needs major meds which in some of us causes major problems. C Uk Hello Mike: The side effects may be more prevalent in people that do not eat consistent portions of green leafy veggies daily. I am on 10mg daily except Wednesdays when I am on 5mg and I clot almost as fast as before
Guest guest
: Warfarin Side Effects Hi I think side effects do vary from person to person, it is important not to loose sight of the preventive measures that warfarin provides, I remember one doctor saying that the worst possible scenario would be to have a major stroke and survive, personally after having a TIA (minor stroke) I would have no hesitation but to continue to take warfarin, even though as a 46 yr old female I have bleeding problems that I will now need to get treatment for. I have also had problems with thinning hair and splitting hairs, but the pros far out way the cons for me. It is however a personal decision that each individual should discuss with their doctor.
