If in fact this is true, I believe it is because as I have been able to better understand what Afib is through my own experiences and what I have read of eveeryone elses experiences, such that I fear it less and mentally say to myself I feel it coming but I'm not going to let it happen. I would be interested if anyone else believes thay can avoid an episode by positive thinking?>> This is why I am not thrilled with antiarrhythmic meds, because they take control of the arrhythmia and can even substitute a worse arrhythmia. I realize many people with afib rely on the meds and do well with them but eventually they seem to fail for nearly everyone, and others are substituted. I find myself believing strongly that breathing, position, stress-reduction, valsalva maneuver, good digestive habits, even exercise and for me, beta blockers, which are not antiarrhythmics, can have a profound effect on afib. But not for everyone, I realize. Lil
