My thoughts go out to Cedie's family, too. I can only imagine their

pain. I often wonder why these children have to suffer like they do.

It seems like we are always preparing for my son to pass away, and I

know it will happen too soon. His heart is getting weaker and weaker.

My sister told me a beautiful story recently which helped me to

imagine that my son was chosen to come here to teach me and others

about true love and compassion. She said that he was the most

beautiful, most charming, most popular, most athletic and strong

healthy angel in heaven. When God said he needed an angel to go to

Earth to be a disabled child, this beautiful strong angel

volunteered. She says that when I pass away and go to heaven, I will

look all around for my little son who walks with a limp, who can't

hear, who can barely see...and instead a beautiful, tall, handsome,

strong, angel will step forward, and he will say, " I am Neal. " I

imagine Cedie is not just a little angel-girl in heaven, I imagine

that she is a beautiful, strong, angel-woman dancing in all God's

glory - and that she is the special guardian for this family, who

loved her so well and pleased God so much.
