Bill was one of a few of my BEST friends of 30 years, and my children's God Father. He worked at St Jude Hospital in Brenham and later at Trinity Medical Center, Brenham once Bohne and St. Jude merged. He was currently empolyed at St. s Hosptial in . He was very involved with his RAC. A memorial service is tentatively set for Saturday, June 17 in at St. s Lutheran Church. Bill fought a hard fight, and his battle will help future patients in their struggles with heart failure. Bill showed things in his illness never seen before in Medical Sicence and I'm sure his case will be reviewed by many across this Country. He is survived by his wife of 26 years , Darlene, (an RN who also formerly worked in OB) and teaches at the Temple College LVN Program, and children Bill, Jr., 14, and , 16 and his Father of Austin. The Dodsons were married 26 years on 6/7/1980, or 26 years ago today. He was loved by many in the medical community accross the State of Texas. I'll post the Memorial Service info once the family sorts it out. Once again the service will not be until Sat. June 17, 2006. The family has not had any sleep or rest for 3-4 months and at this time need to have some privacy, and family time. I will pass on any messages to the family that you may wish, but please send them to me as private emails. The family wishes that if you have any stories about Bill to post them on the blog, or I can send them on to them.
