Guest guest
An article on the Apraxia-Kids website discusses the relationship of language and cognition. One of the points of the article is that with children with impaired lanaguage, tests of intelligence may not be, and are often not, appropriate. I find this article interesting and supportive of many views I hold. http://www.apraxia-kids.org/site/c.chKMI0PIIsE/b.980831/apps/s/content.asp?ct=46\ 4445

Guest guest
, Great article !! It could also be written about dysgraphia also. We have so many problems getting Ken evaled because of the dysgraphia. On his language exit exam he didn't do any of the written part, he flunked... funny part is that he only missed passing by one point. So when he had his IEP this time they tried to tell me that they could not do any modifications on an exit exam... changed their minds when I started quoting law to them.
