Guest guest
Folks, I have a young man who works in a park in the middle of NOWHERE - quite a ways from an ambulance or first responder with AED capability. He has been trying to get information about who and where he might could apply for grant funding for an AED for the park. Can someone give me information that I can give back to him? Please post it here because I am sure there are others with the same questions. Thanks, Jane Hill
Guest guest
Jane, you might have him check with the American Heart Association's state or national offices in Austin and Dallas respectively. I don't have the contact info, but you can probably get it with a Google. Barry -------------------------- Sent from my Wireless Handheld AED grant possibilities? Guest guest
I don't know about full grants, but there is a subsidized AED program through the AED Instructor Foundation where he can get one for $895 (currently it's the Zoll AEDPlus, others may be available soon). Is there any way of raising funds for that locally? =Steve= Shoemate wrote: > > > > Jane, you might have him try the Office of Rural Community Affairs >(ORCA) www.orca.state.tx.us They gave out grants for AED'S last >year and in years past. > >Shoemate CCEMT-P >Hopkins County EMS > > > > > > >>Thanks, Barry, that's a start.
