& White Pre-Hospital Services is seeking qualified applicants for the

position of Clinical Practice Supervisor. The Clinical Practice Supervisor is

our training officer, working under the direction of our Clinical Manager.

The Clinical Practice Supervisor is responsible for:

Monthly CME classes for PHS staff

Training for affiliated FRO's

New employee training and accreditation process

Field training and evaluation of new and existing personnel

Oversight of our FTO's

Qualifications include:

Minimum of six years EMS experience, with at least two years supervisory

experience

Clinical quality management and/or training experience

Paramedic certification/licensure, RN preferred

I would say because they has hosp based system and that they would

like a RN that has been EMTP or LP

You'd have to ask this, but I expect he'd like to have an RN/Paramedic

combo.

Much as we hate to say it, RNs have a better general medical education, and

if you're ever attempting to expand the knowledge base of your folks that's a

pretty good combination.

Maybe that's not the reason for that preference at all. It may be as simple

as " that's the way we've always done it. "

For us, it's the fact that we employ a significant number of RN's as CCT

transport nurses. I believe that it's helpful to have RN training and

experience when overseeing RN practice.
