WE CANT WAIT! I started looking into this a couple years ago, and it is finally happening! I will let you all know how we make out! Guest guest Posted January 4, 2007 Report Share Posted January 4, 2007 marilyn so sorry you had issues, i am nervos b/c i think we are going to love it there, then what? if anything i am hoping they can direct us for a more appopraite placement for for next year, She is not ready for our :typical school " middle school program. Maybe Perkins can help us figure out where to go. There are 2 blind schools on long island, Millneck Manor did not want Eriak 3 years ago, to involved and i think they were not sure how much they could do for her. i am hoping this will change. We fought dearly to arrange for to attend Perkins (she was there for 7 years). It was a battle, but one more, more, and more again than worth the effort. Are you by any chance in the 8th circuit court? 's case settled a lot of issues there. Please feel free to email me privately (lewcap@...) or on list with any questions. The eval is a great start.
