Guest guest
Hi and welcome to the list. You have a great story. 90% improvement in anything in 2 months is terrific. There are many areas to work in that help tremendously with the behaviors, particularly as you can start at such a young age. Others on the list understand much better than I the improvements to be gained through improving auditory and visual processing networks, from dietary improvements, communication augmentation, behavior models, and more. If you are interested in some of that input, you can profile his hearing, vision, communication status, and his medical profile, how he's doing in school, in interacting with peers, etc. and get some very good information back. What is your grandson's name? Sorry, can't help with Kansas City, but I'm sure others can. Nice to meet you, in Ma. Guest guest
Hello everyone. I am new to the ListServe. I am the maternal grandmother of a 6 year old with CHARGE. I just wanted to share that about 2 months ago he wanted to go to the chiropractor (I had been going). We took him and he has gone twice a week since. He falls 90% less than he did and his behavior has definitely improved (he hit himself in the head, got angry easily, and was oppositional. None of these have been completely eliminated). I know a lot of people don't believe in chiropratics, but I am truly amazed at what it has done for him. We feel it may have decreased his pain. The chiropractor diagnosed him with scoliosis (he'd never had a spinal x-ray before). He now hold his head up straight, can jump, and is able to stand on one foot. Does anyone know a pediatrician interseted in CHARGE in the Kansas City area? We also need a good ENT. He has an aversion to having his ears looked at let alone have the ear wax removed. Thank you.
