My surgery was Sept. 27, 2002 and as of this morning I have lost at

total of 130 pounds which does include about 13 pounds that I lost

before the surgery. I was losing at a rate of 6 - 10 pounds a week.

Now I am losing at a rate of about 3 pounds a week. Is this amount

of slow down normal? I feel great. I admit that I am not walking

like I should, but my wife has agreed to meet with me at the mall to

walk every evening after work. So that will help.

Thanks,

Boliver

Starting weight - 385

current weight - 255 (I have not been here in about 12 years)

total lost - 130

high, because you should be very proud of yourself!

Yes, Boliver, the slow down is normal. You are still losing much faster than

any of us women. I'm glad to hear your wife is going to walk with you. Take

care.

My surgery was a couple of weeks after yours and I'm losing at a rate of 2

to 4 pounds a week . From most people I've talked to this is the norm. I'm

just glad to still be losing. I do miss those weeks losing 7 pounds though!

HA! Mine went 20 the first month, 10 the second month, 5 the 3rd month, and

goodness knows what this month. Yep, some slowdown is to be expected .

You'll probably enjoy walking the mall together. I wish I had someone to

walk and chat with.

Boliver, it probably will. Her agreeing to accompany you is

a big start, don't you think? So you gotta be there on time,

lookin' good, and bein' nice while you walk. Talk a lot, let

her get to know the new you better. Hoping for the best for

you, dear heart!

Cheers!

You see what I mean. Threats of physical harm, just because I am

losing more weight than some one else. What am I going to do? (LOL)
