Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas has four openings for

Transport Department Communications Specialists. Teddy Bear Transport provides

Neonatal and Pediatric Critical Care Transport via ground ambulance, and rotor

wing and fixed wing aircraft. Performing over 2000 transports annually, Teddy

Bear Transport is one of the busiest children’s transport teams in the nation.

JOB SUMMARY Qualified individuals will be the primary contact for requests to

transfer and transport patients. Communication Specialists coordinate and

monitor transport by ground ambulance, helicopter and fixed wing aircraft and

accurately document all related written and computerized information in a

dynamic, fast paced, high volume, high-stress environment. Individual should be

highly organized and have strong customer service, communication and computer

skills, and have the ability to develop and maintain positive working

relationships. QUALIFICATIONS Education and ExperienceHigh School DiplomaTexas

State certified EMT or EMT-P (preferred) with 1-2 years field and/or dispatch

experience.Typing 40 - 50 wpm preferred Licensure, Registration,

and/or CertificationTexas certified EMT, EMT-I, or EMT-P (EMT-P preferred)BCLS

(within 90 days of employment)PALS (within 90 day of employment)NAACS

certification (within 1 yr of employment) Two full-time day and two full-time
