Guest guest
HIPAA - Please guys, play like you know the acronym of the rules or regulations you are " required " to follow. We saw HIPPA vs. HIPAA posted on this list for weeks without correcting in the title. I suspected some of the resident experts to make the correction but they allowed the error to continue in the subject line. Shame on all of us for not making the correction. bkw Re: Legal training Wes; How about HIPPA and how it specifically relates to EMS (i.e. what to say, who can it be said to, what can be said). How about treatment of minors and legal notification of parents/guardians. Possibly a speak on documentation and how what is written may or may not be interpreted by an attorney in court? Just a few off the top of my head. ExLngHrn@... wrote: I've been thinking about CE issues both for field providers and EMS managers. What legal issues would you be interested in learning more about and why? I was just thinking that since so much of what we do involves laws and/or regulations, it would be good to ask what you'd actually like to have some boring lawyer lecture to you about... -Wes Danny L.
