Guest guest
- It sounds like a good start. Here is my supplement schedule. You can gradually work your way up to this: First thing in the morning - iron and vit. C with my first protein drink An hour later - the rest of my daily medications and first calcium capsule(500 mg.) Lunchtime - one calcium, 400 mg. dry vit. E, a Centrum type multi-vitamin(I buy the store brand), one sublingual B12 Supper - one calcium, one dry vit. A & D, zinc, Hair, Skin & Nails vitamin Bedtime - last dose of calcium, another Centrum multi-vite I do 2-3 protein drinks a day. As for not feeling full, what type of foods are you on? Pureed? Have you tried eating refried beans with melted cheese on them? I found these to the most satisfying and filling on pureed foods. I also ate cottage cheese a lot. Concentrate on eating protein first as that is what fills you up the most. Are you getting in 64 oz. of water and other fluids? If you are low on these levels, that is another reason why you do not feel full. Even now, at 9 1/2 months out, I know when I'm full because I actually feel things backing up into the esophagus. Oh, and for the protein drinks, I bought the Walmart brand once, too. The last time I was low on protein, I looked again, and our Walmart stopped carrying them. Are you using the ones that are whey protein? Try and make a shake that will have 30 grams of protein in it. So look at the label to see how many grams are in one scoop and adjust your scoops to equal 30 grams of protein. Guess that's all for now. Take care. Jeanne in WI Age 39 - Dr. T.
