Guest guest
Barbara - I wasn't that distraught because I had weighed myself at home. I know that some people don't have scales at home or are too high to be able to use a home scale. You do not have to feel embarrassed or ashamed with us. Honey, we've all been there. It's just a number anyways. Once you've lost a bunch, you'll be mentioning it all the time at least among us. I had an open procedure. You will survive. Have fun with the Upper GI. For me, that was the worst test, cause of all the white stuff you gotta drink. They needed to see that stuff make it through my small intestine, so they kept giving me more and more and more, and then had me drink water and finally told me to eat to get the stuff moving through my system. I remember pacing the hallways because walking was supposed to help as well. I paced and sipped and paced and sipped some more. I kept saying to myself to keep my eye on the prize, that it would all be worth it in the long run. And it was. Hang in there Barbara. You can do this. Take care. Jeanne in WI Age 39 - Dr. T.
