Hi,

I have 5 kids,2 are in the autistic spectrum.please explore

all your options before getting the flu shot for your child.check out the

internet for 909shot.also be aware that

the flu shot and mist have mercury in them.my youngest

child has not had any vaccinations since he was 6months

old and I wish I had been better educated about it and he

would not have gotten any!!!!He was very delayed but is making wonderful

progress on the proefa and GFCF DIET

Hello

I am not letting my two have any more shots if I can possibly help it.

They can put all the pressure they like on me, but I don't believe they

can back up their safety claims. If you have doubts, I suggest you

choose flu, rather than risk shots - that is, assuming your daughter is

not asthmatic, in which case, flu might be the more dangerous.

Good luck,

Sara

If you want your child to get the flu vaccine, make sure to request

the preservative free one (These will go quickly so ask now).

Here's some links on it:

http://www.drgreene.com/21_1801.html

Note, that even mercury- " free " vaccines can have trace amounts of

mercury (<0.5 ug mercury/dose, Fluzone® Preservative-free has a

pink syringe plunger).

When giving any shots, follow the DAN protocol:

Specifically:

NEVER vaccinate ill children or children recovering from an

infection.

Use Thimersol / Mercury free vaccines

Space vaccines - do not give multiple vaccines in 1 day.

Give RDA (Recommended Daily Allowances) of Vitamin C before and

after vaccines

Give a natural form of Vitamin A ( cod liver oil ) to keep RDA's at

level at all times for the age. Make sure you have a mercury free

cod liver oil!!! I use the Children's DHA capsules by Nordic

Naturals since it is Cod Liver oil with Vitamin A and it is free of

heavy metals.

Whether you give your child the preservative free Flu vaccine or no

vaccine is a personal choice based on the individual child. Some

children are more at risk from getting the Flu than others (those

who have asthma or are prone to respiratory infections). You know

your child best...

Flumist (the nose spray) is thimeresol free but it is a live virus. It

is pacgaed in individual doses and frozen to preserve it. My son had it

last year and did get mildly ill for a few days as is somewhta common

with live viruses. Even the low-thimeresol flu vaccine isn't thimeresol

free. My son's neuro is fine on getting the flumist but not any of the

flu shots. Avoiding the high fevers that come with flu is our main

reason for vaccinating since with neurological issues and higher than

normal seizure risk. Kids have to be over age 5 and not have asthma or

some other specific health issues to get Flumist though.

As with all vaccines, you have to weigh the risk versus the

benefits.

We get the flu shot every year. My daughters and I are all high

risk. My daughters are even higher risk than me. They almost died

of a respiratory virus (RSV) when they were 6 weeks old. One of

them has severe asthma.

I also have asthma, so that is why I should get the flu shot.

I'm more worried about the side effects of the flu then I am about

the side effects of the flu vaccine. The side effects of the flu

for my kids and I include death (or severe illness, hospitalization,

etc).

If you and your kids are healthy, then I don't see why you would

need the flu shot.

You don't automatically tell someone not to get the flu shot.

You are not their doctor. You do not know their health.

The flu is very serious for people with respiratory and other

illnesses. The real complications are more serious than the

possibility of maybe getting something from the vaccine.

My kids are very high risk of serious complications death from the

flu. I've taken my chances with the flu shot every year, and my

kids have not had any adverse reactions.

My kids almost died of a respiratory illness when they were 6 weeks

old (RSV). My daughter's brain damage is a result of complications

from RSV. RSV is not as deadly as the flu.

I thank God for flu vaccines and whooping cough vaccines.

No I am not their doctor, but i have listened to docotrs before, with

some consequence and I wont go into that here and actually work with

them, and to be honest unless you have a preexisting condition, there

is no need to get one.By the way in the ER last night we had a very

energetic 65 y/o grandmother with no other issues, receive her flu

shpot October 4th and she is now hallucinating, hasn't eaten, and

has " other neurological " things going on I won't get into, so it

isn't all benign, I just know what I know. <suzi_knowles@p...> wrote:
