Guest guest
Pam, what have you tried so far? Have you gotten samples and tried those? One that's ALMOST tasteless is called Designer Whey natural. I use it in mixes that are too sweet, and I put it in other stuff... There's another on that's tasteless whose name I can't remember - I'm sure you could find it on www.vitalady.com. You know, GNC and The Vitamin Shoppe take back powders you don't like, or if you tell this list, maybe someone nearby can take it off your hands! Cheers! Sharon in D.C. Guest guest
This is Basilwhite.com's protein shake recipe he is famous for....tastes just like chocolate cake batter....enjoy!! take a cup add 2 ounces of water add 2 scoops of chocolate 100% pure whey protein (available at vitamin stores and some grocery stores - don't let them talk you into the vitamin-fortified crap) add 1 scoop of chocolate dry soy shake mix (also available at vitamin stores and some grocery stores - you need the soy for the two amino acids that are really hard to find from anything else on the planet except for soy) - 110 calories, 23 grams of protein, 1 gram of fat and 0 grams of sugar. add 1-2 tablespoons of No Sugar Added Nesquik chocolate powder. 180 calories, 0 grams of protein, 1 gram of fat and 0 grams of sugar. Mix this stuff up with a spoon until it's the consistency of pudding. Add more water until it's the consistency you want. Mixing the ingredients in this way eliminates little pockets of dry unmixed ingredients. This recipe has 374 calories, 65 grams of protein, 4 grams of fat and 3 grams of sugar. I split it out over two or three glasses over the day. This formula gives me the recommended 60 grams of supplemental protein a day for gastric bypass patients, it's very yummy, and eliminates all of my desires for food for about two hours. It's even better if you mix it with an electric " boat motor " hand blender.

Guest guest
I sometimes put a very small piece of frozen banana or sugar free strawberry syrup in the protein shake. Not too bad. Guest guest
Are you aware that whey protein starts to break down after about 30 minutes? Those shakes made from this later in the day are full of bacteria. Yuch! Jeanne in WI Age 39 - Dr. T. Chua Open RNY - 5/21/02 5'7 " - 314/218/150-175 djgraves@... Guest guest
Yikes, I wouldn't do this drink because the protein in whey disintegrates after the first hour or so (and some would say 30 minutes). Certainly wouldn't apportion it over a day. Guest guest
I ordered a sample each of ProScore 100 chocolate (I think that's what it was) and some kind of strawberry. I mixed them both according to the directions with water and some ice cubes using a stick blender. I've also tried ProteinX. Guest guest
Pam - You have to keep on trying. I didn't like ProScore either. It was just too sweet for me. I like ProComplex chocolate, it's much milder. I add a teaspoonful of peanut butter to each one of my shakes, and I just love them that way. Don't give up - keep on trying! Guest guest
it is a sugar free syrup, made by the DaVinci company and comes in tons of flavors! vitalady carries them on her site, but can't ship them now til spring. They are really really good for changing your protein shakes a bit. Guest guest
Lori I use pure whey stack protein..chocolate flavored. Mix with 8 oz of water and shake it good..mixes real easy and is very good nice and cold over ice. Good thing about vitalady.com is that you can order samples of different types and flavors. Cause you will have to try several to find one you like and will drink. some are yucky. sherry in tn

Guest guest
Lori - Go to www.vitalady.com Her site is pretty easy to navigate through. Click on Protein to see all she has for protein supps. You can order samples of ones you think you'd like to try. If you like really sweet chocolate, make sure you get a sample of ProScore100, ProBlend55 and Pure Whey Stack. Those were all too sweet/strong for me. I prefer ProComplex chocolate. There are also many in vanilla and strawberry plus you should soon be able to order syrups again. Under the vitamins tab, you'll see she has calcium, click on that, and it'll show you the calcium capsules that she carries. Ordering from her is safe and secure, and you can use PayPal if that's what you prefer. Take care. Jeanne in WI Age 39 - Dr. T. Chua Open RNY - 5/21/02 5'7 " - 314/218/150-175 djgraves@... Guest guest
, sounds great! You made some changes, didn't you.. and I admire your desire to test all limits... You should know that caltrate is calcium carbonate, which requires stomach acid to be digested and put into use... please when you next get calcium, get calcium CITRATE.... You'll need to look carefully for it... and try to get the kind that has some magnesium and vitamin D3 in it, which helps the absorption of the calcium. Then you'll be protecting your bones! Cheers!
