I'm a life insurance agent and have paid a higher than

average 'rating' on my life insurance due to height/weight and

comorbites. After wls, I am now rated 'standard', which is music to

a life agent's ears! Many of us were uninsurable altogether, so this

is wonderful

Now we just have to get the medical insurance companies to see us as

" normal " . I was rated at the highest level (or whatever it's called) for

health insurance and pay quite a bit for it. We're hoping to get into a

group thing when this contract is up (we're self-employed) and get better

rates.

Dawn - My surgeon and regular doc said it is normal for liver enzymes to be

elevated after surgery. Mine went down after decreasing one of my meds and

taking some milk thistle capsules.

I didn't have a problem at all getting life insurance on me. I just got a

second policy out about 4 months ago and all they did was ask questions

about surgeries and once the rep found out I had it done she was all into it

asking questions and stuff but on a personal level not professional level.

Anyways I got the standard rate as well. It surprises me that people would

have a hard time!

I was just going to write to you actually. Do you know if you are going to

be able to meet us in Knoxville in June? We're trying to plan the route so

that we can give people dates to keep open and whether or not we go through

Tennessee makes a big difference in our route. I'm pretty annoying that

way, I need to know what I'm doing and have the details planned out way in

advance. lol.
