>>Mandy - No TUMS! (Jeanne)

Okay, Sis.. You got to her first. LOL

Dear Mandy,

I didn't know this either when my surgeon told me about TUMS. The

strange thing is this -- He has a brochure and samples of Citrical D right

in his office! LOL

When I asked him about it he gave me several packets and said that

Citrical was a great product but I could use TUMS if I wanted to. Hm.

Anyway, use Citrical D and it will insure that you get an adequate,

digestible source of daily calcium and vitamin D.

Take good care and God bless you richly.

Love,

Trace

Mandy - No TUMS! These are calcium carbonate and can give you kidney stones.

We need calcium citrate - hard to find in chewables. Vitalady sells capsules

that can be opened and added to protein drinks or applesauce or yogurt. You're

gonna make Mom crazy with this talk about Tums.

Take care.

The Vitamin Shoppe sells a chewable calcium citrate, with E

and mag.... Comes in big pink tablets, have to take 8 a day

to get in the recommended 2000mg a day...

, maybe you ask her more about this. WHY does she say

take Tums, when Tums require the acid in the stomach to

dissolve? And you won't HAVE any, or very much, acid? Maybe

she doesn't know this. Citrate doesn't need the acid....

Maybe she doesn't know that, either.... You don't LOSE

anything by taking the citrate, so that would be my choice.

But maybe you could educate her.

Cheers!
