Guest guest Posted December 1, 2007 Report Share Posted December 1, 2007 Can anyone tell me if there is any way to cross reference a person that say is not only a medic but also a R.N.? I have heard in other states about a respiratory therapist that flubbed up majorly and was released from his job and would never be able to work as a therapist again, but was still working as a medic. I suppose I'm asking this question now because I know of a few folks that have been or are on suspension with EMS from the state but are still working in the medical field under their other title. Is there not any way to check up on both? I mean if you are suspended from being a medic because of say pt. neglect then why would we want this person working as a nurse? Or if they have had their certification removed in EMS again why would I want them working in the medical field still but under a different title? Or it could be the other way around, if they have their initials stripped from them in a different part of medical field why would I want them being able to work as a medic? Just because you change titles doesn't mean the person has changed. Anyway before I get any farther up on the soap box, if any one has any information about this please let me know.
