2008 GETAC Committee Appointment/Re-appointment Process

At the November 19, 2007 Governor's EMS and Trauma Advisory Council

(GETAC) meeting, Council members decided to postpone the committee

appointment/re-appointment application process that normally commences

this time of year.

At its upcoming retreat in January, GETAC plans to re-visit the

structure of existing GETAC committees, and then report the results of

their discussions to the Texas EMS/Trauma Systems stakeholders at the

February 6-8 meetings here in Austin. After that, it's anticipated a

committee application will be posted on the GETAC section of our website

and we'll send out an e-mail to all the usual stakeholder listservs with

an announcement.

Let me know if you have any questions. And on behalf of all of us here

at DSHS, we hope you had a great time at the Texas EMS Conference this

past week in Houston...
