Guest guest
Just a reminder of what a special day today is. Today is the day we take time to remember all the veterans from whatever branch of service. If you enjoy your freedom, take the time today to thank a veteran. For those of us who served, today we will remember our brothers in arms. The sadness we feel for fallen brothers will be tempered by the pride we feel for those that gave their lives so that we could remain free. We left home as naive young men and women and returned forever changed by those that touched our lives and the things we saw and did. We picked up the Flag from those that fell and hoisted it high so that they may never be forgotten. Some say we were foolish to go, but we each know better. For those that have never served, no explanation will do. For those that served, no explanation is necessary. We will always remain true to the creed of warriors from time immemorial: WE WILL NEVER FORGET. Those that have gone before will prepare the way for us to our seat at that special table reserved for the proud few. To every veteran of every war and to those that guarded us during the uneasy peace between them, a little saying popular with us crusty old Viet Vets: WELCOME HOME MY BROTHER Today is your day. May it lay easy on you and may you be remembered as fondly as we remember those that have passed before.
