EMT Classes around Austin/Marble Falls???

I have a friend who is wanting to take an EMT class. Anyone have any

suggestions where he might find one? I know Austin Community College

has them but I didn't know if there was a local fire department or some

place else putting one on somewhere or not?

I'd check with the Capital Area Fire Chiefs' Association (www.cafcatx.org) about

classes being held at local fire departments.  There's often one being held at

one of the County fire departments.

Additionally, the folks out at Bulverde/Spring Branch often have classes in the

Hill Country area. In the Austin area, another option is Acadian Ambulance

(formerly MetroCare).  Eddie often conducts EMT-B classes.

and Fredricksburg and Jan 7 at Bulverde Spring Branch EMS

Out of curiosity, anyone know of any EMT-I classes in the Austin area

anytime in the future, particularly one that does night classes?

Yes, Acadian just started one last week. We have another tentative one scheduled

in the spring of 08. I donmt remember the date but if you are interested I can

get you the info.

Well, I used to wear those cheap $10 pair you buy at the gas station

until people gave me crap about not living up to my name. So I sprang

for some Oakley's a year or two ago. I suppose anything less would make

me unworthy!
