Guest guest
Hi everyone - I just wanted to share some good news. At my last doctor's appointment, I was tested for ferritin, vitamin B12 and vitamin D levels. Here are my results: IRON DEF PANEL IRON 60 37-145 UIBC 308 112-346 TIBC 368 250-450 % SAT 16 L 20-55 % FERRITIN 48 13-150 VITAMIN B12 865 211-946 (my doctor recommends 1,000-2,000) INSULIN-Fasting 6.6 2.6-24.9 (my doctor recommends 5-10) VITAMIN D, 25-HYDROXY 15 L 20-57 (my doctor recommends 30-60) She increased my HC to 20 mgs from 10 mgs and recommended 5000 U of Vit. D and 1000 mg of sublingual B12. I started taking the B12 and D supplements and I swear the very next day I felt like a new person. I have been feeling great ever since and it's lasted a few weeks now. I'm happy, not depressed and I just started my period and I still feel good, a little PMS but nothing like before. I just wanted to share the good news and maybe this could help someone else get tested for these things. I feel this was the missing link for my treatment. Does anyone know what a low %Sat means? I tried doing an internet search and couldn't really find anything but maybe I'm searching for the wrong thing. I wish everyone a happy holiday and thank everyone in the group for all the great advice! Joann
