If you are passionate about your subject, you forget about being nervous and feel that you are just telling your story to the interviewer. The time goes by quickly once you get on a roll. The local cable stations usually have a very small staff at the taping, so it's almost just you and a couple of others to do the camera work, etc. I'm certain you'll be fine.
