Guest guest
basically my TSH did come back that one time at 8.9 while after that the other tests have all come back within the 2.7 range. Thank God for that one test though cause otherwise I wouldn't have even been able to get ahold of some armour. Basically, I'm starting to realize that there are no doctors out there who really have any idea of what they're doing even the so called experts and who write books about it and all. First I went to a shrink who did hypnosis therapy, and while that helped with the anxiety his whole approach that the body can cure itself naturally over time is something I don't have time for. I mean I agree it can and patience is required, but I dont want to have it take years if I don't have to. The other doctor I was seeing was a total nautropath which wasn't bad but he basically told me that with his herbs and the accupuncture he provided i would be better in a matter of weeks. While both helped with the anxiety and the guy's herbs did help with the digestion both didn't really do anything for the sleep and loads of other probelms i was going through. Then I went to a couple endos and both with the same answers nothing was wrong with me cause all my blood tests would come back normal. However, somehow I lucked out and my TSH came back at 8.9 and on the other test it was normal. So they diagnosed me as a transient hypothyroid. At this point I already knew I had a case of probably moderate to severe adrenal fatigue along with the hypothyroid so I kept pushing to find a doctor who would address it. I eventually found a doctor who is considered a hormone specialist out in Michigan writes books etc etc has a bunch of protocols to get people better with it etc. He basically listened to everything I had to say and gave me a vitamin protocol along with my armour thyroid that would help get me better such as Vit-D, 5HTP, and GABA. He simply said my sleep wake cycle was disturbed and that if I would take these plus a few other vitamins along with my armour thyroid I would be better in a matter of weeks, and also went as far as to say all my hair would grow back by the summer. When it came to needing HC he said that he thought I could recover on my own and that I was an easy case. Needless to say I felt the guy was on the right track, but calling me an easy case is far from it I can assure you on that. With that said I've sort of found out that I have to take pieces of what I can, and basically self medicate myself. I have to do whatever I can to make myself feel better. I have to do my own tests and figure it all out and then basically i feel all that matters after that is that I feel good and I feel back to where I was. I just ordered the saliva test and it should be here within the next couple days. I would estimate that even despite my young age I am most likely in stage 4-5 of adrenal faliure. I'm still functional but barely. I have HC ordered as well and most likely plan on taking it when I get it. It's funny because I just took the book safe uses of cortisol by jefferies out of the library here and he seems to be the person who makes the most sense when treating it even today. He was really the first person to ever diagnose and treat adrenal disorders and really stresses that without proper cortisol treatment adrenal fatigue is very hard to overcome. I plan on starting the HC and using his protocols as a guideline.
