An excellent doctor in Europe?

I'm so fed up with having to try and figure everything out myself when

there's all this conflicting information out there. I'm just about

desperate enough to fly to some other European country just to see a

doctor who REALLY knows what he/she is doing (I live in Finland

myself). Who would be able to help someone on Armour with adrenal

issues? Can you give me the contact info?

I know Thierry Hertoghe is supposed to be excellent when it comes to

thyroid issues, but does he know about adrenals?

Hertoghe does know adrenals - there are two Hertoghes - the sr. and the younger.

The

younger Hertoghe has written an excellent book, but it is hard to get and VERY

expensive.

Although I would buy it if I could find one. My doc uses it to guide her in

dosing both

thyroid and adrenal, and I've read it while in her office.

There is a whole section on adrenals that covers dosing, types of medication

(including HC

and Isocort and when to use each one) what key symptoms are, how to recognize

thyroid

vs, adrenal through symptoms only etc. Also, it covers all sex hormone

imbalances.

Thanks for the info! I'm going to try and get a phone consultation to

Hertoghe jr, hope I can get one.

The book sounds very interesting as well, I'll try and see if I an get

my hands on it.

Do you by any chance know if the book you are referring to is

No - it's called the Hormone Handbook and it is primarily marketed to

doctors through Hertoghe's publisher. http://www.imbooks.info/

It looks like its available again - the price is 250 Euros, which I

believe is about $375 US if I'm guessing correctly.

I see Thierry Hertoghe every six months. He currently sees

international patients only (so you'd be OK), and only on a Wednesday

and / or Thursday, so I would phone as soon as possible to get in.

He DOES really know what he is doing, especially thyroid / adrenals,

but he is very busy, and sometimes doesn't listen closely enough. He is

the best there is though.

If you go to this website, you will find doctors in Europe (Hertoghe

included) who treat thyroid / adrenals with Armour, etc.
