Testing cortisol before starting HC- Val

The endo recently gave me a Rx for 10 mg (HC Cortef). You said it was

important to be tested before you start it. I managed to do a 24 hr.

saliva test, but ate brocolli and garlic, as they stated

not to do. Will this throw the test off?

I have lab request from her, for a before 9:00 AM blood draw for

Cortisol.

Should I wait until I get this done before starting the HC?

Would you suggest taking .5am and .5 pm or try to break the

tablets further, for 4 small doses per day.

Do I need the saliva test to determine this?
