Guest guest
You might have to check what quadrant you are in. The reference range is one quadrant or a large box then all the others are large boxes (quadrants actually) then the small box that represents your lab will either fall into one of the quadrants OR will fall right on a line that is bordering on two quadrants, or in rare cases, 3. There are 9 quadrants, 7 are number the eighth is the " reference " with diagonal grid lines across it and in the center and the ninth is just blank and is the lower right quadrant. Cheri - ----Original Message----- From: On Behalf Of scubjay In the reference range square, my box is in the lower left corner. Still confused. From examples I saw online, mine should've been in a box with a number in it... weird huh? I see a box for 1, a box for 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and then this reference range box. I know if I were too bad, it would say needs cortisol, not just morning augementation. huh? .
Guest guest
Cheri- My little black box is inside the box with the diagnal lines going through it (it says reference range box). Whats that mean?? Thank you > You might have to check what quadrant you are in. Guest guest
Well, it is saying you are within range and not at a stage of adrenal fatigue so that won't help you. Were you taking anything at the time that could skew the results? Cheri Re: ...Saliva test stage numbers Cheri- My little black box is inside the box with the diagnal lines going through it (it says reference range box). Whats that mean?? Thank you . Guest guest
No, nothing. Actually, I felt as a always did that day. The results were 7-8am=9 depressed (13-24) 11am-noon= 8 normal (5-10) 4pm-5pm= 1 depressed (3-8) 11pm-12am= 3 normal (1-4) Cortisol Burden= 21 (23-42) DHEA= 4 (3-10) Then it said to try morning augenmentation such as licorice ... Huh? Weird. See, it shows, that my cortisol fluctuates throughout the day, drops very low at 4pm or so. I feel that too. I wonder why it didn't put me in a stage? > > Well, it is saying you are within range and not at a stage of adrenal > fatigue so that won't help you. Guest guest
Works for me, I feel in stage 100 anyway at certain times of the day. Im going to repeat the test soon here. I ordered one, and it came...it only includes the 4 cortisol levels, free t3 freet4 and tsh...so that will be interesting I cannot wait to do it, and get the results. Thanks, KAtie > I think you are around a stage 4 based on two low readings and lowish DHEA. > Sometimes when the graph can't give you a stage and you have to estimate > based on readings and symptoms. Guest guest
I just wonder if maybe something else in my body is causing the cortisol dip? I hope not. Like some underline disease that flares up around 4pm and causes my cortisol to plummit. > Cheri > Re: ...Saliva test stage numbers > > > No, nothing. Guest guest
I think you are around a stage 4 based on two low readings and lowish DHEA. Sometimes when the graph can't give you a stage and you have to estimate based on readings and symptoms. I think stage 3 is when your cortisol is high but stage 4 it starts dipping which you have in two readings. Cheri Re: ...Saliva test stage numbers No, nothing. Guest guest
It is important to understand the stages are NOT the end all of a diagnosis. The stages mainly depend on the cortiosl DHEA correlation. I would put you closest to stage 4. But that is by your cortiosl levels. When they determine stages they use the middle TWO cortisol readings and your DHEA levels. It is NOT always accurate. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets
