Why the rushes when taking cortisol

I need help understanding the effects of cortisol. I am up to 15mg of

cortisol. I thought that taking cortisol allowed your adrenals to

stop making it and that allows your adrenals to rest. Why, as I am

increasing my cortisol, do I feel more powerful rushes after about 2

to 3 hours after taking a dose and unbelievably awful rushes, heart

palpatations and anxiety in the middle of the night? When are my

adrenals resting? I am stage 5/6 adrenal fatigue. (Got the results in

August but started cortisol December).I took 2.5mg 3 hours ago and I

am shaking so bad right now that I can hardly take it.

Could someone PLEASE give me a solid explanation? Does the raciness

ever go away on higher doses of cortisol?

How do I know that my adrenals are stable enough to start considering

my thyroid?

My average temps the last 7 days were 97.2, 97.3, 97.2, 97.2, 96.9,

96.9, 96.8 (oldest to most recent). Will my temperatures ever go up

and are these temperatures considered " stable " or do they have to be

higher before I consider tyroid treatment?

Boy, do I need some reassurance today!

Thanks-

P
