Guest guest
So happy for you both. Will continue prayers for Bill and family. Love, N. Big day tomarrow > > Well tomarrow is the big day. He is so excited, I cant beleive its only been two weeks, it seems like a whole lot longer. > I took my son Jacup into the hospital to learn how to change Bills colosomy bag. The lady got half way through the process and Jacup turned white as a ghost and had to sit in the chair. Thankfully he sat down because the poor kid past right out and almost got sick.He felt so embarresed about it all. I told him it was alright that some people just cant handle things like that very well. It really scared him because he has never past out before and didnt know what was going on. He thought he was going to have to be in a bed next to his Dad. I felt so sorry for him because he was really wanting to be able to do this. > I am going to take my oldest son in the morning to try to teach him. If he doesnt think he can, then I will have to try and do it myself. I will surely give it a try, but if I cant we will have to go to the hospital twice a week to change it which would be fine. > Well I gotta get things cleaned up a little for tomarrow. > Love ya all, Sandy > > >

Guest guest
Sandy, You should be able to get Home Health to come and take care of the colostomy bag, if a family member can't do it. Being a nurse, I have taken care of many, many colostomies, and each one is a little different, but none is very difficult to do. Good luck, and I am so glad Bill's coming home. Take care, Laurel
Guest guest
Laurel, My oldest son came to the hospital today and was able to do the changing with no problems. His job is a care giver and he said that some day he might need to have to do it for one of his clients. We brought my hubby home today, he was so happy to be home and be alive that he started to cry, they were tears of joy.
