Guest guest
Hi Jane Ann I went thru some of the postings in May and June and came across one from you stating that you have been on baclofen for a year, so that answers my other question to you and that is real good to hear. I also read where you had started work outs on a thing called total Gym. I want to say that 3 weeks ago I began physiotherapy and was given a number of stretching exercises to do and was told that i had to walk for 30 mins a day every day. I have been doing all these things and feel really good and have found that i am stronger and i walk a lot better. I too am so happy because I have been given hope also. My physio tells me that my hamstrings are real tight and with walking and the exercises they will loosen and that i have a problem with my hips and that balance is controlled by our hips and so she has given me hip exercises, which are real hard but i am going to perservere as she believes that i will be able to walk again on my own. My biggest problem is anxiety and once i get over that and my legs and hips become stronger and I know that i can walk on my own,I will be able to do it. So I urge all of you to see a rehab doctor to be assessed for exercises. BY the way what is PT?? I have seen it mentioned several times here but not sure what it is. At a guess, is it Physical Therapy? Maureen
