Guest guest
Miche I'm so sorry. I was skipping over the parts of your message that were from my message inside your message and missed the points that your child sees Deborah Hayden. And missed you were advised not to take the situation public. You wrote > > Our attorney has advised against contacting news of govt. Hurt how? - they will do something like misclassify your child and tie you up with meeting after meeting for months on end while they provide no placement or services at all...like what they are doing now? Or you mean they'll get worse. What do they do then - pay a child 25 bucks to beat your kid up while he plays T ball? Trying to help your child hurts you in court...so you stay quiet and wait for who? The " attorney " who's done nothing while all this happens? This is who gives you the advice to stay quiet? (Who does this attorney work for again?) Can Deborah help you advocate? If nothing else she can help you make sure your child has the appropriate diagnosis and appropriate goals and therapy are written into the IEP. She can also help all understand that your child's hesitation prior to following a command may not necessarily be due to receptive delays, and can simply be due to motor planning. Deborah is an apraxia expert. You're child's in great hands with Deborah that's for sure! But the quiet part. Squeeky wheels get the greese. To me it sounds like too many have kept quiet. To me it sounds like all the cards need to be on the table. But got to admit they're doing a great job of keeping most quiet. (The kids that is) Parents don't complain -kids can't complain. Don't know what else to say -your situation is so out there that again it's an insane situation. Wish was able to jump in now. She'll be back soon. =====
