Being a sufferer of sleep apnea, I've been starting to wonder if some of us with

obstructive sleep apnea (besides being hypo) if having a goiter might play a

role in the obstruction in the throat. I have a fairly large goiter and have

been wondering if that is what obstructs my airway in my throat while I sleep

but I'm not sure. I know just being hypo can do it.

Ellen: In answer to your previous post about when to know if the pressure

is too high, you would be able to feel it because it would cause you to have to

breathe faster and it would be uncomfortable. I know this from when my pressure

was too high. As long as your breathing is regular and comfortable, then the

pressure isn't too high. That's why they spend a lot of time during the sleep

study getting the pressure right while you sleep.
