When I was on atenolol bedcause of a high HR from too much Unithroid, I had heart palps, and here I was probably making too much RT3. It's all making sense now. >>>Yes I do beluieve beta blockers with their problem of blocking conversion of T4 toT3 can cause high RT3. His BP is LOW chances are very good if he raises thyroid he canslowly discontinue the BP med an be fine. I did wiht four of them, but I wenbt VERY slowly except Atemnolol.. Guest guest Posted December 21, 2007 Report Share Posted December 21, 2007 This is why they prescribe beta blockers for hyperthyroidism as they did prescribe propranolol for me back in August; because they inhibit converion ot T4 to T3. These are the worst things for someone with hypoT. Btea blockers: was/Husbands results OMgoodness~!
