It is so amazing what can be accomplished with just a little effort, a few emails, and some good timing. I met the Pink Flamingo Lady from New Jersy. Jeanne is wonderful! I just had the best time. We tried to connect a couple of weeks ago when they went to VA for a funeral but the timing was wrong. They went back to VA this week for a 4th of July family reunion and I just happen to be home on vacation. Since they travel I-81 and I am about 30 miles away we originally planed to meet in sburg and have lunch. At the last minute Jeanne saiid they wouldn't mind a little detour to come by my house so that's what we ended up doing. It was great. Worked out all the way around. And since my house is much quieter than restaurants I think I heard almost every thing that was said. (Send a dollar in a plain brown wrapper and I'll tell all) hee hee hee. Actually we did good. We didn't talk about anybody because we were too busy talking about everything. Jeanne's husband was awfully nice, too. He was very thoughtful and considerate of the two of us stumbling women. I'm sure we will be staying in touch. I am always amazed how each person I meet for the first time just seems like meeting with an old friend. Always so much to talk about and never enough time. If someone lives withing a reasonable distance from you please make the effort to meet halfway for a visit. I bet you will be glad you did.
